Running the CTG Simulator


  1. On boot you should see a dialog box prompting the user to either boot the CTG Generator or the Bedside Monitor (See below). Select “Launch Bedside Monitor”




  1. Ensure that the Bedside Monitor has the relevant room selected (You will be prompted for a room on each boot)
  2. Minimise the Bedside Monitor (Top Right Hand Corner)
  3. Click “Launch CTG Generator”. Once launched you should see a screenshot like the one below.




  1. Select Port and ensure the “Pipe” option is selected
  2. Select “Open File” and load any of the relevant “ctg” file types.
  3. Click “Start”
  4. The generator should now be running and you should see the “Tick Count” going up.
  5. Navigate back to the previously minimised “Bedside Monitor” and confirm the CTG data is coming across to the portal (See below).



Remember to change HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\K2 Medical Systems\Guardian\Ports - FMPrimaryPort to 0
