Group Simulator

Group Simulator

Many administrators would like to be able to use the new simulator in a group teaching environment, but do not want to impact their own training progress.
The easiest solution is to create a generic user account (e.g. groupsim with a simple password) and share this account with other site administrators/ trainers.
Logging into this account, administrators can open the simulator and load a case as many times as they like:
Please note that you will only be able to review each simulator case in training mode with expert guidance at each 15-minute interval as many times as you like but only the last score for that case will be recorded.
You can exit a currently loaded case by using the X (close) button in the top right-hand corner, re-opening the simulator will then display the following message:
You have an outstanding Case.
This will now be loaded and restored to the position at which it was last managed.
Complete each case in Traning Simulator or Assesment Simulator by either:
  • scoring each 15-minute segment through to the end; or
  • choosing the 'Birth now' option in the Management panel
Training Mode:
  1. Allows you to select from a variety of interesting cases
  2. Provides you with feedback after each 15-minute segment to enhance you CTG interpretation skills
  3. Tailored CTG training with either RANZCOG or NICE classification and expert guidance
Assessment Mode:
  1. You will be randomly assigned a case with the case ID withheld
  2. Designed to test your ability to identify CTG features, classify the trace accordingly and act if necessary.
  3. Once you have completed the case, the case ID will be revealed along with your scores in CTG classification and response.
The training simulator provides you with an opportunity to both train and assesses your CTG interpretation and management skills. Interpretation rules are based on RANZCOG guidelines and assessment incorporates both independent expert and INFANT™ technology (please click here if you would like to know more about INFANT™).

At the end of the case, feedback is provided in the form of percentage agreement with the clinical experts (who independently interpret each case) and INFANT™ for two categories:
  •     CTG Classification (how well you identified trace features); and
  •     Concern Agreement (how well you escalated concern)

Choosing 'Yes' will allow you to scroll through the entire case displaying your previous training mode decisions, but will disable scoring.
This case has previously been scored. Click 'Yes' if you would like to score this case again (please note that doing this will clear all previous progress). Click 'No' if you would like to review your previous scores. Yes/ No
